Jason Whittingham has failed to sell the club, resulting in player and staff wages being unpaid.
The Shrimps have also suffered transfer embargos and points deductions in recent months.
And in July the National League stipped Morecambe of their league membership.
The club's first three fixtures of the season were subsequently postponed, with players left in limbo.
Members of the squad have remained professional by turning up to training despite not being paid.
However, this week they were forced to leave the practice pitches because there is no insurance to cover them if they get injured.
Amid the ongoing crisis at the club, heavyweight legend Fury has been linked with a takeover.
The Gypsy King has lived in Morecambe for over a decade and has his own gym located at the corner of the club's ground.
Three years ago he revealed that he was considering an investment during an interview with talkSPORT.
However, the Telegraph has claimed that he currently has no interest in buying the Shrimps.
Fury sponsored Morecambe during the 2022-23 season, with his signature 'Gypsy King' brand featured on the club's home and away shirts.
